MOAB Graveyard

I used to struggle and fail in MOAB Graveyard until I invented the Lazy Man Strategy.  It is somewhat similar to other strategies on the net but much simpler.  The track view is below.
Image result for MOAB graveyardFirst place 1 Monkey Village near the end of the track and upgrade it  to 2/1 (Jungle Drums/Monkey Fort).  Then place Spike Factories and upgrade them 1-by-1 to 2/3 (White Hot Spikes/MOAB SHREDR).  The MOAB SHREDR is particularly important.  Do as many as you can, then start the round.  There will be 10 MOAB's in the first round.

After the first round, put a Super Monkey on the first bend and upgrade to 2/2 (Plasma/Epic Range).  Continue doing this throughout the second round.  Buy a Bomb Tower and make it 2/3 (Frag Bombs/MOAB Mauler).  Place before the second bend.  Continue building Spike Factories and upgrading to 2/3.  There will be 6 BFB's in the second round.

Now, you should have a lot of Spike Factories all in the radius of your Monkey Village, a Super Monkey and a MOAB Mauler.  Drain your money before starting this round.  If you have spare money buy more Bomb Towers and place near the first.  After the first two rounds, you will be feeling quite confident, maybe over-confident but ZOMG's are extremely difficult so be careful.  Just 2 ZOMG's will come but they will test your defenses to the last spike.  After the first one is beaten you know you're safe.  Just let out a sigh of relief and sit back and relax.  Claim your victory, tile, coins and bloonstones.

Shipwreck Smackdown

I blogged about all the other special tiles long after beating the tile.  However, I captured many photos of my smackdown on the Shipwreck Tile so it'll be much easier to understand.

Some tips:
1. Don't attempt this tile until you are Level 15 or above.
2. Use the whirlpools.  There are 4 and each has a cooldown time of only 10 seconds.  They suck in all the bloons that are going around them.  No, they cannot take down MOAB's but they can take Ceramics and anything less.

First, I'm going to explain each picture and the pictures will be at the bottom.

Picture 2 : You WILL need a 3/3 Monkey Buccaneer and as many as you can build.  This will be your main unit as it costs normal price.  In Round 1, get your Bucky (short for Buccaneer) to 0/3 which is Cannon Ship, if you can't order how many ever supply crates needed.

Picture 3 : By Round 4, you should have a second Bucky.  Proceed to upgrade him to Faster Shooting and Longer Cannons.

Picture 4 : Round 10.  Buy 3 more Buckies and place as shown in the photo.  Upgrade them slowly to 2/2.

Picture 5 : Round 15.  Upgrade as shown.

Picture 6 : Now things get tougher as land units are involved.  Place units as shown.  Upgrade Bomb Tower to MOAB Mauler(0/3), Boomerang to 2/2 (Glaive Thrower/Red Hot Rangs), and Monkey Apprentice to 1/2 (Intense Magic, Monkey Sense).  The prices will all be double their normal amount including upgrades.

Picture 7 : In the Last Round, get two submarines.  Upgrade 1 to 2/3 (Advanced Intel/Ballistic Missile) and slowly upgrade the others.  If you don't have subs its ok, just stay focused and use the whirlpools more.

Picture 8 : VICTORY AND 52 BLOONSTONES!!!

Heli Pilot Crash Site

Image result for heli pilot crash site bloonsAfter my previous post, I realized how irritating it was to imagine a track so I put track photos for both.  Here's the photo of the Heli Pilot track.  I hope the Dart Monkey and banners didn't block the view as I took it from the Internet but I think you get the general idea.

First, put one Spike Factory on each last bend.  This means you need TWO Spike Factories.  (That was to my friend).  Then, put 1 Dart Monkey at the beginning of each track.  Adds up to 2 Dart Monkeys.  This should hold for the first few rounds.

Next you need Lead popping power.  Put a Monkey Apprentice at the start of each track near the Dart Monkeys.  Adds up to 2 Monkey Apprentices.

Finally and most importantly, build 2-4 glue gunners keeping 1-2 on each side.  This will slow down larger bloons and you will need it at 2/1 (Corrosive Glue/Stickier Glue).

From now onward its quite simple, just build more upgrade the Spike Factories to 2/2 or as high as you can and keep building Ninjas, Dart, Sniper and Boomerang Monkeys.  If you have Boomerang, you must upgrade it to x/2 (Red Hot Rangs) to pop Lead.  Also, place just a few more Lead poppers (Boomerangs count).  Near the end of the mission, you could think of repairing the Heli but that's your choice.

A final warning: I recommend that only Level 15 and above attempt this level.

A last tip that I forgot: Put all Monkeys on Strong Targeting.

Thanks for reading and share your ways of getting through this level.

Bloonchipper Bloonprints

The Bloonchipper's Bloonprints are found inside a cave.  It's a special mission and this means it's extra difficult.  You are going to need at least 1900 starting cash and 85 health.  The track starts from 1 entrance and splits into 2 tracks.  The left track takes 2 right turns which makes a 180 degree turn.  The right track splits into 2 left turns.  Both tracks take a 90 degree turn towards the Bloonprint and are parallel.  At the other end, the left track does a 90 degree turn and then takes 2 right turns back to the Bloonprint.  On the right side, the opposite happens.

When you start the game, put 2 Dartling Guns and aim them at the entrance.  Place these after the second 90 degree turn and before the next turn.  One should be on each side.  You can get a supply crate if you don't have  enough cash.  Upgrade them to Powerful Darts as soon as possible.  DO NOT UPGRADE ACCURACY! The spread of the guns help destroy more Bloons.  This should be done by round 3.

After the Dartlings are finished with, place 3 Glue Gunners and upgrade them to 2/1 (Corrosive Glue/Stickier Glue).  Set them to Strong targeting so that they can hit the Ceramic and Rainbow Bloons that are going to come.  These must be placed right at the entrance.  This should be done by Round 6.

Next, place the good old Dart monkeys.  Upgrade him to 2/3 (Enhanced Eyesight/Triple Dart).  The Triple Dart is crucial here.  They must be placed right behind the Glue Gunners and next to the third set of 90 degree turns.  This should be done by Round 10.

Now you would be encountering tougher Bloons like Ceramics and Rainbows.  Now, you can put 1 Dartling Gun in between the 2 others.  This must be done by Round 14 - 15.  Now beware, a MOAB comes in Round 15.  It will come on the left track so move your finger to aim at the MOAB and its children.  If all goes well, you should win with minimal loss of life.  If you don't feel confident about your Dartling aiming powers, put down some Road Spikes, White Hot Spikes or just drop a Pineapple.

Thank you for reading and please write ideas for new posts in the comments.

Special Missions

Hello everyone.  Just this week, I beat some of the special missions and would like to share the winning formula with you all.  So, over the course of the next two weeks, I am going to be sharing the monkeys and strategies to win these missions.  I warn you though, most missions require level 15+ plus and/or a supply crate.  But, they are possible.  If you can't do it with the reccomended team, just wait for the money and buy the necessary monkeys and upgrades.  I might even post a YouTube video on my channel.  Thanks and stay tuned.

Top and Worst 5 Towers in Monkey City

I though I'd just put this, the best and worst monkeys (according to me) so you understand my judgments.  Also, I'll be speaking in Bloons TD language which will be left tier/right tier.  So if I say boomerang monkey 0/3 is strong, that means his third upgrade on the right side of the tower defense screen and lower side in the city when being researched.

Ok, now that I've covered that, I can move on to the topic of this post.

Top 5 Monkeys

5. Spike Factory - Honestly, Spike Factory is underrated.  Its a very strong unit and produces spike.  I have 4 Spike Factories researched at 2/2.  In any contested territory or anti-MOAB mission, I max out all 4.  Its a good support unit and easily catches any stragglers.  Works well with everything apart from Sniper.

4. Boomerang Monkey - Frankly, I don't understand why so many people don't like this monkey.  Most YouTubers use Boomerang monkeys but most of my friends don't like him.  I mean, he's good, no doubt about it and I really think he can be a main monkey.  For beginners, I suggest using more Ninja Monkey but upgrading Boomerang Monkey.  Once you upgrade 3/3 for Boomerang (Glaive Ricochet/Bionic Boomer), he becomes seriously OP (Over Powering).  But I am saying this again, Boomerang is not for the low levels, Ninja is cheaper.  You know what, let's talk more about Ninja.  The best combo for Boomerang is to keep him with a Spike Factory and Bomb Tower.

3. Ninja Monkey - Ever since there was a monkey team mission involving Ninja, Dart and Spike Factory (Nike Dactory - My favorite wrecking combo), Ninja has been one of my staples.  Even at 0/0, Ninja is amazing.  He can pop camo bloons right out of the box, throws shurikens faster than Dart monkey's darts and his upgrades are OP!  1/0 (Ninja Discipline) is ok but the real fun starts at 2/0 (Sharp Shurikens).  Paired up with 0/1 (Seeking Shuriken), 1 shuriken can curve by itself and pop 4 bloons.  Seasoned veterans will tell you that x/2 (Anything/Distraction), x/3 (Flash Bomb) and x/4 (Sabotage Supply Lines) are good but I prefer the other path.  Also, you're not going to be using tier 3 and 4 upgrades anytime soon as they are extremely expensive to research.  Ninja works best with a Bomb Tower (which can pop those pesky Lead bloons) and a high level Sniper to take out stragglers.

2. Sniper Monkey - Good old Sniper Monkey.  Keep him in a corner and he always finds his bloon.  Popping 2 layers without any upgrades is one of his extremely good features but his best features are his upgrades.  With 1/1 (Full Metal Jacket(4 layers total and can pop Frozen and Lead) /Faster Firing) are good upgrades to start with.  On the left, its upgrades are able to pop more layers as 3/x (Deadly Precision - Can pop 18 layers!  Enough to bring down Ceramic) and 4/x (Cripple MOAB - MOAB stops for a short time).  On the other side, Sniper is shown as a more versatile monkey who call in a Supply Drop (x/4), fire 3 times faster (Semi Automatic Rifle - x/3) and Night Vision Goggles (Able to detect and shoot camo - x/2).  In the end, the Sniper becomes an amazing versatile monkey whose only weakness is hordes of bloons.  Due to his versatility, he can be teamed with any monkey.

1. Dartling Gun - This is my favorite monkey, hands down.  This is why I really feel crippled and have trouble winning mountain terrain.  Its a strong monkey that shoots darts from a Gatling gun.  It can be upgraded to either shoot small rockets (Hydra Rocket Pods x/3) or Laser Beams (Laser Cannon 3/x).  He destroys everything and anything.  Pair him up with some of his team mates and they can wreck MOABs and their children in seconds.  Works best with Spike Factories as the Dartlings hold off the bloons while the Spike Factories produce hordes of spikes.'

Honorable Mentions : Dart Monkey (Triple Dart Upgrade is extremely powerful) and Monkey Buccaneer (I couldn't put him because he's only on water)(Monkey Pirates:Can bring down MOAB.

Worst 5 Monkeys

5. Monkey Ace - Monkey Ace is a fighter plane that fires 8 darts wildly every few seconds.  Firing wildly means that the Ace rarely hits his targets.  But after spending about 10,000 city coins (to upgrade 1/x, 2/x and 3/x), you get Neva Miss Targeting which does as it says.  In the city, it occupies three places because of its runway and that''s the only monkey who occupies that much space apart from Super Monkey.  Its tier 4 (Specter and Ground Zero) along with Neva Miss Targeting are its only good features.  Not too good after all yeah.

4. Super Monkey - For everything everybody says about Super Monkey, he isn't that good.  I mean, he's expensive to buy originally, his upgrades are expensive and he's too expensive to use in most fights.  Only at 2/x (Plasma Blasts) he can pop Lead and why upgrade his range twice.  He is just an expensive, glorified Dart Monkey.  The only reason he's 5th and not lower is because of Technological Terror.  Even Temple of the Sun God is good but I'm not sacrificing towers.

3. Bloonchipper - Honestly, I don't even have Bloonchipper yet (I've just beat the level) but from what I've seen on YouTube, its pointless.  It takes down 1 layer and can't even kill blue.  2 notable exceptions are its ability to take down a MOAB's outer layer fully and leaving all the MOAB's children (You might want to check this.  I'm not sure).  Same for ceramic.  Its pretty useless but I want to unlock it for the coins that I get from finishing the mission.  Overall, very bad.

2. Ice Monkey - I totally forgot about this guy.  I was thinking so long and hard that I totally forgot Ice Monkey.  Its only good feature; it can stop bloons in their tracks.  The big disadvantage; frozen bloons can't be hurt by sharp objects.  Totally unhelpful.  I'll concede that Viral Frost (4/x) is good.  However, path 2 is totally unhelpful.  Imagine you had a whole host of camo bloons coming through and only 3 2/2 ninjas and a x/4 Ice Monkey (Absolute Zero : Freezes all bloons on screen apart from MOAB class).  Your ninjas are throwing shurikens but there are two many of them.  You do Absolute Zero.  The shurikens can't pop the bloons.  Lots of coins wasted.  You lose.

1. Tack Shooter - After Ice Monkey, I had my doubts.  Could I shame the Tack Shooter worse than the Ice Monkey?  Then I came up with a creative argument.  See, Ice Monkey actually does some work and freezes bloons.  If you have a Bomb Tower or any monkey upgraded enough to pop frozen, then you're good.  However, Tack Shooter redefines the meaning of utterly useless.  It only works well on circular track portions and how many circles are there on tracks.  Few.  Very few.  If you want, you can go to My Tracks and see.

What do you thing are the Top and Worst 5 Monkeys.  Please post in comments below.  Thank you and keep on reading.
